Our Story

In 2022, I returned home from my fourth deployment, settling back into life at home was rough. I was feeling very anxious and down, so I started looking into getting an emotional support animal. I went back and forth between getting a puppy or a kitten. I did my research, weighed the pros and cons of both. I’ve always wanted an Australian Shepard, but I also wanted a British Shorthair.

For the past year and a half, I started saving up and continued my research. As you can already tell I was leaning more towards getting a kitten. I shopped around for months. Looking at different breeders, comparing prices, making sure they were actually purebred pedigree that are TICA/WCF certified, I looked at hundreds of available kittens and stumbled upon so many scam pages. (WARNING: Watch out for SCAMMERS)

One day I came upon a picture of 3 beautiful kittens. I knew the moment I saw his little face; I was going to bring him home.

On December 20, 2023, I reached out to the breeder, she told me her cat had 3 kittens this litter, 2 girls and 1 boy. I told her I wanted the little boy, and his name is going to be Zeus! She was so happy. I offered to put a down payment for him, but she told me it was not necessary because she could tell that I was serious about him. We kept in touch and made plans for me to pick him up.

As a first-time cat owner, I had no idea what I was doing. I watched a ton of YouTube channels on British Shorthair’s and bringing kitten home, do’s and don’ts and all of the meaning behind everything they do and say. I have learned so much from Zeuska in the month of bringing him home. I totally become an obsessed cat mom.
